Reporting time for Guitar Hero III:
All players who are registered and seeded for WCG Singapore National Finals are to report on 7th August 2008 at 12.30noon.
For players who have registered for Free Play Qualifiers, please report on 7th August 2008 at 9.30am.
Reporting time for CHEERS GRID League:
Participants who have registered themselves are to report on 10th August 2008 at 10am.
People who still wish to participate but have not signed up, can do a walk-in sign-up at CHEERS booth from 7th to 9th August 2008.
WCG ’08 Singapore Preliminary Round - Kovan

The WCG ’08 National preliminary round officially concluded yesterday at Kovan CC. The main highlight of the was the DotA Match between Team KingSurf and Team EtERN|ty.Team KingSurf, which boasts one of the largest fan bases in the world, is currently Malaysia’s top team and a DotA powerhouse in Asia. On the other hand, Team EtERN|ty , is a reformed team,led by Star player NutZ in a bid bring EtERN|ty back to stardom.
After an hour of gruesome battle, Team KingSurf eventually managed to dethrone Team EtERN|ty and went on to defeat Epicentaur and Evolution to be crowned the champion. (Do watch out for the replays) Team KingSurf is the 2nd team to be seeded following team -XtC- who won their seeded spot at SAFRA Mt Faber 2 weeks ago.

Age of Empires Guitar Hero III PGR 4
You may now register for free for a qualifying round for the WCG event itself. The players that will be registered for this qualifier will NOT receive any t-shirts or goodie bags that normal registered players are entitled for. These players will play off in a group stages to determine just one winner out of all of them to join into the normal WCG lineup of the players. The players that do win the free play qualifying round will be entitled for the WCG T-Shirt as well as the goodie bag.
The registration is now open and will be closed on 6th August 2008 at 2000hrs. Do not miss on this opportunity!
Walk-in registration for Asphalt 4

Registration for the WoW TCG South East Asian Continental Championship is now OPEN. Attractive prizes to be won!
The deadline for WCG National Finals & Open Category
will be this Friday, 1st August 2008 at 2000hrs (8pm SG Time). Anyone that has
registered for the games but have not made the payment by that date & time
will be considered as an incomplete registration and will have their slots
removed from the WCG National Finals & Open Category.
There are 2 avenues to make the payment:

Dust-Off cooperated with eMazing-Gaming for the well known Fire and Ice events, came together to publish an update to their DotA world rankings SK-Gaming unexpectedly took the number one spot to lead the ranking of the best DotA teams, after coming in some of this year’s most prestige tournaments, DreamHack Summer 2008 and ESWC Masters of Paris.MeetYourMakers (MYM) and Evil Geniuses followed right behind to take second and third place in this world rankings. Coscon, an annual cosplay contest is here again! This year it will be even more grand and exciting as Cos-players dress up as their favorite manga, anime, tokusatsu, video games, and even fantasy movies, visual kei, novels and anything in real world!
One may have heard of cosplaying. But does one know what cosplaying really is?
Cosplaying(コスプレ, “kosupure”)short for “costume play” is basically describing a performing-art behavior of self-rigging out a character with corresponding custome, accessories and/or parameters. Sounds deep? Well, it simply meant dressing up as characters and doing a roleplay such as imitating their speech and actions etc.
Cosplay can be seen at public events such as video game shows and also dedicated cosplay parties, such as the one coming up (Coscon). Cosplay costumes are unique and very different from typical events costumes such as Halloween. Cosplayers pay rigorous attention to intricate details of their costumes. These might include exact colour replication, seams alignment and even down to small details like what buttons to be used. Many Cosplayers spend months sourcing and making their perfect piece of costume.
And it is on occasions like cosplay events that like-minded people gather to admire each others’ costumes, show off their own handmade creations, take lots of photos and make new friends!

Rapture Gaming is looking for more official game referees for the upcoming 2008 WCG Singapore Final and WCG Asian Championship from Aug 7th to Aug 10th (4 days) at Suntec
Conventional Hall, Singapore, as well as for future tournaments.
You must have good working knowledge of the games being played and speak English Fluently to apply. Game officials that are selected will be contacted by the game master.
Requirements
Someone who has experience as a referee or a player in pertinent game
Someone who has got extensive knowledge in pertinent game
Someone who has ability to judge
Someone who has healthy body and mind as game referee
Someone who has good interpersonal skills
